Owner/Founder - Hobble Creek Forge
Born and raised in Utah, Shane has always had an interest in handcrafted items and hobbies, particularly those related to the 19th and 18th century. The blacksmithing trade started out as a hobby but then quickly turned into a full time passion. The ability to heat up a piece of steel and move it to the desired shape, a shape and look that can not be found in any other art form was very enjoyable, almost addictive. Shane started Hobble Creek Forge in 2010 and has been an active member of the Utah blacksmithing guild, Bonneville Forge Council, serving as V.P. and President. Shane is also a proud member of the Artist Blacksmith's Association of North America (ABANA). He has done blacksmithing demonstrations all throughout Utah, Idaho and Wyoming and enjoys teaching this age old craft to others. Shane has a great love for the outdoors, fishing, climbing, American history and his family. His touchmark, an outline of the Teton Mountains symbolizes a little bit of all this.
